Two days ago, Activison Blizzard announced the third and last expansion of 2022, March of the Lich King. In this article, we’ll run shortly over all newest additions in Hearthstone! March of the Lich King launches worldwide on December 6th.
New Class: Death Knight
The Death Knight will be represented by the Lich King himself, also known as Arthas Menethil, a former paladin. The new, 2-Mana Hero Power will summon a 1/1 Ghoul with Charge, which dies at the end of your turn. You might think, what’s the point in a worse Paladin Hero Power? I’ll tell you.
Corpses
Alongside the new class itself, Death Knight gets a unique class mechanic, Corpses. Whenever a friendly minion dies, you get a Corpse, which you may use later to trigger breathtaking effects! That’s why you want your Allies to die. Horribly.
Runes
These Runes make you add specific cards to your deck only (3 Runes per deck). Most of the new DK cards have such Runes (1, 2 or 3), and you can’t include all of the cards in one deck. Wait, I’ll show you.

Whilst you can add Patchwerk and Overseer Frigidara in one deck, as together they take up all Rune Slots in your deck, you can’t add Lord Marrowgar, as he alone would take up all free Rune Slots in your deck.
New Keywords
THe Keyword form Saviors of Uldum Reborn will return and stay evergreen just like Taunt, Divine Shield etc. With MotLK another keyword was announced, Manathirst.
Cards with Manathirst get an extra effect, when you have X total Mana Crystals.
