Welcome to On the Horizen, your one-stop-shop for everything to know about the current standard meta provided by members of the Hype Horizen team themselves! Every Friday you can expect a detailed report on the meta as a whole and some tips for how to maneuver through it. This will also be a hot spot for other articles written by team members. PLEASE NOTE: All information is based on personal experience + personal statistics gathered through many hours of high-level gameplay.
Lets take a look at the meta before the nerfs happen and speculate what might happen after nerfs. Currently, we have the vast majority of our meta being Ramp Druid, and things that counter Ramp Druid, also some Demon Hunter counter considering that is what most people have been playing to beat the Druids. With this in mind, I expect a big shift in the meta because of what seems to be a massive nerf to Druid, as decks that would previously just remove all their threats would ultimately just lose to the kazakusan after they drew their deck. While no buffs are happening I would keep an eye out for control warrior, pally and quest hunter on the surface seem like they will benefit highly from the nerfs, where decks like Ramp Druid, Aggro Demon Hunter, Pirate Rogue, and Pirate Warrior will most likely struggle due to the nerfs.
The best decks right now are Ramp Druid and Aggro Demon Hunter. Druid beats up on everything that isn’t Demon hunter while Demon Hunter beats up on Druid. I am leaving Quest Warrior out of the list of the best decks for the main reason that it is great at lower ranks but simply fails to be good the higher rank you are.

With nerfs coming soon I am expecting a lot to change within the meta. My top decks to look out for are Quest Hunter, Control Pally, and Control Warrior. I predict that Naga Mage and Demon Hunter will get significantly worse with the nerfs.
