Welcome to On the Horizen, your one-stop-shop for everything to know about the current standard meta provided by members of the Hype Horizen team themselves! Every Friday you can expect a detailed report on the meta as a whole and some tips for how to maneuver through it. This will also be a hot spot for other articles written by team members. PLEASE NOTE: All information is based on personal experience + personal statistics gathered through many hours of high-level gameplay.
Meta Overview
In my eyes, the meta right now is pretty easy to understand, especially since it’s been the same for weeks now. I think the nerfs almost perfectly describe the meta. WIth 2 rogue archetypes being superior and everything else underneath them, not being quite as strong. A meta where we have two clear tier 1 decks and other strong decks being tier 2. Luckily we have nerfs right around the corner.
Best Decks
I’ll keep this part short and simple since there isn’t much to discuss this week. Weapon rogue and thief rogue are the best decks. Shout out to ramp druid as I see a good amount of players doing well with that too.

Closing Thoughts
If I’m being completely honest with you guys, I’m glad to see this meta leave us in a few days with the upcoming nerfs. I don’t find a meta with only 2 decks at the top a partially enjoyable one. I think it is fine to have a meta where some decks are clearly better than others, I would even argue almost all metas are like that. But with this meta these 2 rogue decks are so good they don’t really have counters, and if there is a counter, pretty much every time the other variant of the deck is really good against it. Hopefully, this new meta will have many decks fighting for that top spot.
