Introduction | January 22 Hearthstone Meta
Welcome to On the Horizen, your one-stop-shop for everything to know about the current standard meta provided by members of the Hype Horizen team themselves! Every Friday you can expect a detailed report on the meta as a whole and some tips for how to maneuver through it. This will also be a hot spot for other articles written by team members. PLEASE NOTE: All information is based on personal experience + personal statistics gathered through many hours of high-level gameplay.
Meta Overview | January 22 Hearthstone Meta
The mini-set has been a great success so far with many of the new cards having significant impact on the meta. Notably, Conjure Mana Biscuit, Arbor Up and Nitroboost Potion having the most impact. Illidari Studies has also had a huge impact, becoming a staple in Il’gynoth OTK demon Hunter. Because of these core additions to the game Druid looks very promising and I expect to it with a very high win rate in the following weeks once people have realised which list is optimal between treant, mountseller, dragon or more.
Best Decks | January 22 Hearthstone Meta
OTK DH is also performing very well at high legend having great success when piloted optimally. Likely we will see a meta cycle with Rogue and Druid dominating, followed by warrior (enrage or etc) overperforming for a few days in order to counteract this, followed by faster OTK decks coming back into the meta to counteract the warriors, and so on and so forth hopefully creating a sense of balance. There are no deck codes this week, as everything is still being tuned.

Closing Thoughts | January 22 Hearthstone Meta
The miniset has been a really great addition to the game so far in my opinion and I’m enjoying a nice variety in the meta a few days in, I think there’s a lot more to be explored for sure and I’m really excited to see what deckbuilders come up with in the coming weeks. Nothing seems too overtuned/uncounterable so far but I expect as decks get more refined there may be some standout powerful decks, specifically in druid but we’ll have to wait and see. Good luck on the climb!
