Welcome to On the Horizen, your one-stop-shop for everything to know about the current standard meta provided by members of the Hype Horizen team themselves! Every Friday you can expect a detailed report on the meta as a whole and some tips for how to maneuver through it. This will also be a hot spot for other articles written by team members. PLEASE NOTE: All information is based on personal experience + personal statistics gathered through many hours of high-level gameplay.
Patch 20.0 arrived into the game yesterday, 3/25, and boy did it shake things up. A lot of cards have changed, making the meta feel so fresh and making standard feel like an overall new game. There is a plethora of decks that are newly viable along with the previous meta decks that still hold up quite well. The meta is still developing and is subject to change throughout the next few days leading up the Forged in the Barrens.
Some classes have received more unnerfs/buffs than others. A good example of this is with Shaman, Hunter and Mage getting their power levels boosted dramatically. The fact that unchanged decks like Libram Paladin, Whirlkick Rogue, OTK Demon Hunter, etc. still hold up well against these improved decks should tell you a bit about their power levels before these changes.
Tier 1: March 26 Hearthstone Meta
Tier 2: March 26 Hearthstone Meta
Tier 3: March 26 Hearthstone Meta
This very well may be the most powerful meta Hearthstone has ever seen. Whether you like it or not, I feel like there is something for everyone especially with Classic mode being an option. Sure, losing in this meta does not feel great because of the un-interactivity factor or one-sided games, but the amount of changes makes it all a lot more enjoyable to me. Enjoy the meta before the next HUGE number of changes enter the game with Forged in the Barrens dropping on 3/30!
