Introduction
Welcome to On the Horizen, your one-stop-shop for everything to know about the current standard meta provided by members of the Hype Horizen team themselves! Every Friday you can expect a detailed report on the meta as a whole and some tips for how to maneuver through it. This will also be a hot spot for other articles written by team members. PLEASE NOTE: All information is based on personal experience + personal statistics gathered through many hours of high-level gameplay.
Meta Overview
The Deadmines mini-set has been out for two weeks now and the meta has started to settle. Deadmines seems to have bolstered some of the top dogs in the meta, while also offering some additional support to some decks that are in the middle of the pack.
Best Decks
Garrote Rogue has been the best deck in the game for some time now and that did not change in the last week. Taunt Druid is a close second, however, both of these decks will be nerfed in a soon-to-be-released balance patch. Face Hunter and Quest Hand Warlock both improved with the additions of Doggie Biscuit and Shadowblade Slinger respectively.

Closing Thoughts
Just as the post-Deadmines meta begins to settle, a balance patch is around the corner. Nerfs to Garrote, Razormane Battleguard, and Sorcerer’s Gambit are set to shake up the meta. The decks that will be most affected by these nerfs are Garrote Rogue, Taunt Druid, and Quest Mage, but as with any patch, we will likely see a domino effect take place that will shake up the tier list.
