In March of 2022, HypeHorizen acquired ATK Mode and many talented streamers and players came aboard. Today, we have the pleasure to announce Temporal, please give a warm welcome and learn more about their endeavors and what they’re up to!
How did you first learn of HypeHorizen?
I first learned of HypeHorizen when Bemmie had us switch over to the organization.
What platform do you stream on and why?
I stream on Twitch because that’s the easiest for me, and it’s also where a lot of the Pokemon VGC community watches streams.
How did you get into gaming?
I got into playing the Pokemon trading card game about a decade ago with my brother and dad, and then through playing at competitions I switched to the video game and got more interested and involved in the community. I’ve really loved the competition and growing as a player and person, and also creating a welcoming community. Recently I’ve been striving to make the community a more welcoming place through running online events and focusing on supporting newer players.
Do you have a gaming idol, someone in Esports or gaming you look up to?
My gaming idol would probably be Aaron Zheng, aka Cybertron. I don’t watch a ton of his videos, but he’s done so much for the community and made it a welcoming place for all players, especially newer players. And of course, is an amazing player.
What is the best part about streaming?
The best part about streaming for me is being able to interact with people and also watch the community grow. It’s really neat when people support you in working towards making the community a better place.
How does being a streamer inspire you to do good?
Being a streamer inspires me to do good because I want to be able to influence other people and be good enough to be able to teach people. I want people to be able to learn the game from my playing. It also inspires me to do good because there are not a lot of women in VGC, and even less competing at higher levels, so I’d like to do well to give more diversity to the scene and to be a representation for women in gaming.
What games are you streaming? What do you enjoy about them?
I mainly stream Pokemon VGC content, though I have also played some other RPGs and platformers (such as Hollow Knight) for fun.
Who is your “Arch Nemesis?”
Since VGC had to go fully online in the past two years, and that I basically moved states (for school), I don’t currently have an arch nemesis. I am excited for live events to return though to get one again (had one years ago before college).
Do you have a sidekick? If so, whom?
My sidekick and training partner would be Hobbit, aka Henry, in VGC. We’ve been playing together and pushing to do well for the past couple of years.
