Welcome KaysaCat to HypeHorizen

We’re so hype to announce another member of our Hearthstone Battlegrounds team. KaysaCat is an excellent player, talented artist, wholesome streamer and all around wonderful person. We’re proud to have her on the team representing HypeHorizen.

How did you first learn of HypeHorizen?

I first learned about HypeHorizen from seeing Heartkween’s stream and social media. Before moving to only Battlegrounds, I used to play constructed Standard and Wild Hearthstone. I followed (and still follow) a lot of constructed Hearthstone streamers. I thought it was really cool that she was part of a team like HypeHorizen and I wanted to check them out. The team is amazing and is run by awesome leaders who are both friendly and team-oriented.

What platform do you stream on and why?

I stream only on Twitch for now, but would like to branch out in the future. Twitch was the platform I was most familiar with and where I e always watched all of my favorite creators. It has an easy to use and easy to learn interface, which is really great when you’re first starting out.

How did you get into gaming?

I loved gaming since I was a child, starting around 7 or 8 years old. The first games I played (which were back in the mid-90’s) were Pacman, Galaga, Super Mario Bros., etc. I played for as long as I was allowed to in between going to school, homework and things like that. As I got older I took a liking to Kingdom Hearts, which is still my favorite game overall. Kingdom Hearts 2 is the game I’ve spent the most time on in total, and I’m excited to go back soon and replay through it again. I started playing Hearthstone about 7 years ago and the time has gone by so fast, and that’s where I spend most of my time now when it comes to gaming.

Do you have a gaming idol, someone in Esports or gaming you look up to?

I have a couple. Being into Battlegrounds, I look up to the women in BG who have set the stone for both women in BG e-sports and have showed me what hard work and persistence can help you achieve. A few of them are Sunglttrs, Slysssa, HapaBear, Nicholena and so many more. They all work so hard and have not only increased their skill level, but have built amazing streaming communities that I hope to also build as I continue to grow.

What is the best part about streaming?

My favorite thing about streaming right now is having my audience watch me grow and learn with me. I’m not a pro; my skills are not pro-level. At first that bothered me a lot, but now I cherish that. I learn every day and every time I stream, and my viewers help me by giving me advice and input and I’ve learned SO MUCH from them. Having that communication, support and motivation to always try new things with my community behind me feels so amazing.

How does being a streamer inspire you to do good?

I love what good things I can do as a streamer, and that always makes me want to find new ways to do even more good things. The first thing that made me feel this way is giveaways. I love doing them, and I love making someone’s day when they win. Giving back to those who support me gives me such a good feeling, and I’d do it every day if I could. Sometimes people come to my stream when they’re having a bad day or are stressed out, and I love that not only myself but my viewers do our best to support them and help them feel better. I love having the chance to do that, and I’ll always do that for anyone who needs someone to listen or just doesn’t want to be alone that evening. Everyone is always welcome.

What games are you streaming? What do you enjoy about them?

I stream Hearthstone Battlegrounds, but might branch out in the future. I love (almost) everything about it, even the bad things. Tilting helps me get back up and try again, not give in to my frustration. Building new comps, trying new things and having fun with all of the combination of minions and tribes can be so fun, even if it’s so hard. I am so passionate and I love it every day. It is an extremely important part of who I am now, and my goal overall is to be able to compete one day. I’ll never stop until I get there.

Who is your “Arch Nemesis?”

Bob the Bartender. He can be a real jerk.

Do you have a sidekick? If so, whom?

My best friend is my sidekick. We practice together almost every day and he also coaches me often. We have learned so much together and have raised our numbers higher together. At first it was hard having a long-distance best friend, but we are extremely close. We met through a Hearthstone group and both share a passion for Battlegrounds, and I think that’s an amazing thing and another example of what great things come from being a part of a community.
